Okay, so tonight I read this story that I had to read for my English class.  It is a story with may different dimensions of depth.  I don’t really know how to tell you about it so I’m just going to let you read it.  I will let you decide for yourself how you feel about it.  It is a little abstract but if you search there is more to it than just a strange story.  The title is “Leaf by Niggle” and it was written by J.R.R. Tolkien.  If you click on the link below then it will take you to a site where you can read it for yourself.

There is always so much pressure when writing one of these “About Me” things, as they tend to stick around for quite a while. Well, here goes nothing ;)... I am a voracious devourer of life.   1. Niggle thought that he had never heard anything so generous as that Voice. It made Gentle Treatment sound like a load of rich gifts, and the summons to a King’s feast. Then suddenly Niggle felt ashamed. To hear that he was considered a case for Gentle Treatment overwhelmed him, and made him blush in the dark. It was like being publicly praised, when you and all the audience knew that the praise was not deserved. Niggle hid his blushes in the rough blanket. beautiful

You see, the strange thing is that despite the fact that this story does “endorse” purgatory that is not how I understood it.  In my interpretation there is no death in this story…just a rebirth to a greater life…I don’t know if that makes sense but if you have ever gone through a period of time where God completely took apart every piece of your life and then remolded you then you might be able to understand what I mean.  Ashley

I like this story too… I still like Lord of the Rings and Silmarillion better… but I still liked this one. it does have a lot of allegory… to me, anyways… Tolkien didn’t like allegory, or people referring to his writing as having such… but it has parallels… and I always loved his writing style..anyways… you’re most welcome for any two cents I’ve given you.. “I’ll give you prayers and my time and every moment of mine. all I have is yours to spend…”…. but yeah. love it… I think he might be coming around somewhere around here soon… not sure when, but anyways, I’m out… you make me smile, Ashley. and that’s all I have to say about that for now. do you know what made me late at Ellens Fairway that night? anyways..   5. I’ll be reading it tomorrow… oh wait, tomorrow is a boy day on the comp.  I’ll just have to give them a ton of housework so I can get online to read that story.  hehehehe
    I LOVED our phonecall last night.  No matter how far away you are, you’ll always be my daughter and we’ll still be linked.  I hope that AS I improve and think on things of GOOD report~ if there BE any virtue, if there BE any praise~ you too will enjoy similarly.  I’m on my way to work as soon as Anabelle gets here!  =)  I LOVE YOU x0x0x0x

LOL!  yes, I remember that now!  HA HA HA!!!  And I’d do it again in a minute.  Of course, I would make sure he wasn’t gorgeous and going “places” first now, since… well, now it might be acceptable.  The guy that did Esther’s tat asked “so, what would your mom say about this, you guys?” and I showed him MINE and said “She thinks its fine.”  He was like “HUH!?”  I had to tell him I was the mom.  hehehehee  May you have times to do that too.  it’s TOO fun!  fafsa tomorrow I think.  Dad promised.  Email him with step by steps on how to get into what you’ve already done or what you think he should have to do it so there won’t be anything holding him back this time.
