So tonight I went to the Sanctus Real concert I have been excited about since the moment I heard of it. It was AMAZING. I love Sanctus Real even more. The lead’s voice is…..Amazing! So smooth and yet the range was not restricted in pitch or in style. Found myself praying for a man with a voice like that…maybe not exactly that but at least something I can sit back and listen to and be amazed. (It’s just way cooler when a guy can sing that well….it’s kinda like a God thing to me.)
The Afters were also there…really good stuff…REALLY good. One of their songs just made me want to cry because it was just SOOO beautiful. It was titled, “Love Will Make You Beautiful.” I think I will buy their cd just for that song, though the rest was just as good. That title is enough for me to write a whole post. I mean just think about it…
True Love is all that 1 Cor. 13 says that it is, and that is because Love is God and God is Love. They are interchangable. It is almost like Love is God’s nickname if you think about it. As a Christian, knowing that God is Love, everytime I see the word love with the “l” captialized I automatically think of the Father. But those who don’t know Him, they don’t know that He is who the writer is speaking of (not always, I know there are secular writers who are not speaking about anything close to the real kind of Love). So, Love is His undercover name. And if you really believe that God is who He says He is then you also believe that through Him Love can make you beautiful. The Bible says that it is His kindness, which is part of His Love, that leads us to repentance. Then after we repent we are able to look in the mirror and see how screwed up we are. After we are completely terrified His Love holds us were we can be changed and not die (I mean the essence of us that God created, not the flesh…because that needs to die). And when we are finished for one season, we feel as though that time of painful change was some of the best rest we’ve ever gotten. “So this might could be the most impossible thing: Your grandness in me making me clean” (DCB).
He Loves you to your change. He Loves you through your change. He Loves you to your change…
I love it….and to think He wants us to do the same for others. To be that Love that people can see and relate to….to Love them into their place of change. Amazing that He would even let me try…Amazing. “Love lead me on, where no one else has gone, Faith keep me strong, Love lead me on” (The Afters, too). That is my prayer tonight…”Love lead me on”….

in short… sisters are very good, especially ones who keep you honest… with yourself, or otherwise. and I pretty much knew you’d have a good time at the concert… did you get any pictures with them?? eh? eh? what… nevermind… but the released songs the Afters put out, I like.. so I could imagine what the rest of their work is… and Sanctus Real, I like… don’t know much of their older cd, but I have the new one.. newer, if you count the one that they’re putting out… but yeah.. that’ll be all, this was supposed to be short. talk to you sometime.
