This is a song from when I went to Call DC, way back in the day.  I was a super important song to me then because that was around the time when I was going to Romania for either the first or second time.  It was also during a great time in my walk with the Lord…*smile*…sweet sweet times.  Anyways, I was reminded of it tonight at the end of the meeting (our revival services) while Pres. Roberts was speaking about the fire that is starting here moving across the nation.  I don’t remember the title of the song or who sings it (sorry) but here are the lyrics, which some of you might recognize because it comes straight out of the Bible (Habakkuk 1:5).

“Look at the nations
Watch and be amazed
For I am about to do great things
Throughout these days
And as you watch the nations
Just believe in Me
And just trust in Me”

I can’t remember any of the rest of the words…but if my memory serves me correctly, those are all the words.  Either way, it’s a good song and I really feel like it is definitely what God is saying to ORU, but we are not the only ones.  We are on the edge of something spectacular, not just ORU, the Christian body as a whole…we are getting ready to be re-energized and refocused in such a way as many have not seen.  It’s time for us to be like the men of Issacar who could discern the times and “sound the alarms, gather the people, gather elders and let the ministers wail…sound the alarm, awaken the watchmen, open their ears, let their voices be loud…”  We are not keeping our eyes open for an attack of the enemy…no this time the Father wants to impart a new awareness of  what is going on in the spiritual realm and we can’t ignore it.   If we have been callous before, we have to get onboard now…time is precious.  Many of the prophets are proclaiming the end of this age and the coming of  the King of kings.  We must be ready for Him.  We cannot allow the verse that talks about the Father’s eyes searching to and fro looking for one that He  could use and Him not even finding one to be true.  We must stand for Him…because His side, His opinion is the only one that matters.  We have to step up and do the things that He told us we were going to do…our works are to exceed His.  Let’s be people of God  fufilling the promises He has made to the earth which groans longing for the return of the King that so many of us claim and do nothing about.
      Get fired up.  Get pumped.  It’s exciting.  God, who always has been there, is unveiling a new side, a new glory for this day and age.  Let’s take hold of it.  But not for ourselves…but so that the people around us can see with their eyes and spirits that something new is going on.
